Gary T. ‘Ty’ Moudy, 58, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away Monday, September 10, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. He was born July 16, 1960 in Fairfield, Illinois, the son of Homer E. Moudy and Mary (Smith) Moudy West. He married Janice Scott on November 8, 1980 and she survives.
Ty was a millwright. He enjoyed arrowhead hunting, fishing, camping, auctions, and sports cards.
Preceding him in death was his father; one brother, Dennis Moudy; and one sister, Phyllis Compton.
Survivors include his wife, Janice; mother, Mary of Allendale, Illinois; three sons, Joe Moudy and fiancé, Shannon, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, Gary Moudy and wife, Melissa, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, and Mike Moudy and wife, Marybeth, of Bridgeport, Illinois; one daughter, Brittney Colegate and husband, Zach, of Pueblo, Colorado; one brother, Robert Moudy and wife, Nancy, of Allendale, Illinois; one sister, Margie Carey and husband, Fred, of Scottsburg, Indiana; and ten grandchildren, Addysen Banes, Avrey Banes, Clinton Goodart, Jacob Moudy, Gage Moudy, Silas Moudy, Cierra Brazier, Nick Brazier, Alex Moudy, and Jamie Colegate.
Funeral services will be Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Allendale Cemetery.
