Lawrence County State’s Attorney Michael Strange announced that a Sumner man was sentenced in Lawrence County Circuit Court this week. 26 year-old Levi C. Wilken of Sumner was re-sentenced to two years in the Illinois Department of Corrections on a charge of unlawful possession of a controlled substance. Wilken had previously been placed on two years of felony probation; but admitted to violating the terms of his probation by purchasing pseudoephedrine products without a doctor’s prescription. Wilken’s prison sentence will be followed by one year of mandatory supervised release. Wilken is also required to pay fines as well as court costs
