A Jasonville man was arrested following a reported disturbance in Knox Superior Court Two Tuesday. Authorities claim 23 year-old Derek Burton struck a law enforcement officer while he was in court on a Superior Court Two warrant. Burton was charged with battery on an officer, resisting law enforcement, and disorderly conduct. The charges are in addition to his original charge of Legend Drug Deception dating back to February. Burton was taken to the Knox County Jail.
