Ian Happ hit a two run homer off Carlos Martinez during a five run rally in the bottom of the fifth inning Thursday night as the Chicago Cubs came from behind and beat the St Louis Cardinals 9-6 in game one of their five game series at Wrigley Field. Jason Heyward and Victor Caratini added three hits apiece and Anthony Rizzo added two as the Cubs won their fourth game in a row. Yadier Molina had four hits for the Cardinals and Matt Carpenter and Tommy Pham hit solo homers but it was not enough as Martinez was unable to hold a 3-1 lead. The win increases the Cub lead in the National League Central Division to 3 games over the Milwaukee Brewers and 8 1/2 games over the Cardinals.  Game two is Friday afternoon with Jon Lester (12-2) pitching for the Cubs and Jack Flaherty (3-4) for the Cardinals. The game can be heard on Lite 103 WAKO beginning with the pregame at 12:45 p.m. Central Time 1:45 p.m. Eastern.
