Man Accused of Shooting at Parents Appears in Court

   A 30-year-old man accused of shooting at his parents with a handgun after a high-speed chase from Mount Zion to Decatur last month appeared in Macon County Circuit Court Wednesday.  Casey T. Wiley pleaded not guilty during a preliminary hearing.  Wiley is charged with attempted murder, aggravated discharge of a firearm, intimidation, reckless discharge of a firearm, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, driving under the influence of alcohol, reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident. He also has been charged with armed violence, armed robbery, aggravated robbery, aggravated battery, aggravated battery of a victim aged 60 or older, aggravated assault, domestic battery and failure to reduce speed. Wiley remains in custody at the Macon County Jail with bond set at $750,000.  A pre-trial hearing has been set for September 6th.
