WOOD MEMORIAL HIGH SCHOOL CANCELING FOOTBALL SEASON

A Southwestern Indiana school has announced it is canceling football for this season. Officials at Wood Memorial High School at Oakland City in Gibson County say the season is being scrapped due to lack of numbers creating health and safety concerns, This week only 13 students reported to a meeting with head coach Bret Kramer. The school also indicated that the football program is not being shut down and will be reassessed for next year.
