SIMMONS TO BE AN ASSISTANT AT CLEMSON

Published and televised reports out of Evansville indicate that former UE basketball coach and Lawrenceville native Marty Simmons will become an assistant coach at Clemson University. Simmons was ousted as Aces head coach after 11 years in March. He would join the staff of Brad Brownell at Clemson of the Atlantic Coast Conference. The two were both together as assistants at Evansville under Jim Crews. Simmons reportedly will begin his new duties on August 1st.
