The 10 year old Little League District 1 tournament got underway this past weekend in Olney. In action on Saturday in the four team double elimination affair, host Olney beat Lawrence County 9-8. Lawrence County rebounded on Sunday to win over Mt Carmel 14-2. Monday night Lawrence County remained alive with a 10-8 win over Salem. Lawrence County returns to action Tuesday night playing Olney again. A Lawrence County win would force another game Wednesday for the championship. Meanwhile at the 12 year old District tournament at Salem, host Salem defeated Lawrence County 8-0.
