Catcher Willson Contreras hit a tie breaking homer and a two run double late to lead the Chicago Cubs past the Detroit Tigers 5-2 Wednesday afternoon at Wrigley Field. The victory was the sixth straight for the Cubs and enabled them to sweep the brief two game interleague series between the two teams. Javier Baez stole home and starter Jose Quintana picked up the win. The Cubs are idle Thursday and will open a three game series with the Cincinnati Reds at home Friday afternoon.
