A Sandborn man is in custody after a four hour standoff early Monday morning. Knox County authorities responded to a report of a burglary in progress related to a domestic situation in Sandborn. Sheriff’s deputies say Larry Plummer fled the scene. Plummer was located at his home on Hill Street. Plummer refused to leave his home and showed a weapon, but didn’t discharge it. The Sheriff’s Office brought in a tactical unit and a negotiator. After about four hours, the negotiator was able to talk Plummer into exiting his residence and he was taken into custody. Plummer has been charged with Burglary, Resisting Law Enforcement and Residential Entry. The Sheriff’s Department also confiscated a rifle, shotgun and flare gun from the home.
