BAEZ POWERS CUBS TO WIN

Javier Baez hit two home runs including a grand slam to help the Chicago Cubs beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 9-4 Tuesday night in game two of their series at Dodger Stadium. Baez homered in consecutive innings off starter Ross Stripling and reliever Edward Paredes to up his season total to 16. He also added two other hits on the night. Jon Lester picked up the win for the Cubs on the mound. He is now 10-2 after giving up two runs on four hits over five innings. The win snapped the Cubs five game losing streak. Game three is Wednesday night with Kyle Hendricks (5-7) pitching for the Cubs and Alex Wood (3-5) for the Dodgers.
