Funeral services have been scheduled for a two year-old Sumner boy who fell into a flooded culvert earlier this month. Thomas Willoughby fell into the culvert and was swept away by rapid flood waters on June 11th. Thomas had to be resuscitated on two different occasions. Thomas was taken to Lawrence County Memorial Hospital before later being taken to Riley’s Children Hospital in Indianapolis. Thomas passed away Wednesday. The Funeral Service will be on Monday at 2:00 P.M. at Sumner Free Methodist Church with Pastor Deetta Gaither officiating. The Visitation will begin at 12:00 P.M. until the time of service. Burial will be in Christy Township Cemetery in Sumner. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Glasser Funeral Home to help with Funeral Expenses.
