Glen E. Heath, 90, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Aperion Care in Bridgeport, Illinois. He was born July 21, 1927 in Lawrenceville, Illinois, the son of Levi and Florence (Waggoner) Heath. He married Betty Lou Roberts on November 1, 1947 and she preceded him in death on October 2, 2010.

Glen worked as a meat cutter at Heath Key Market for his Uncle Jim. He then began his career at Texaco Refinery, retiring in 1982. Glen and Betty spent 25 winters at Lake Okeechobee, Florida, where they enjoyed fishing. He was a member of the Central Christian Church in Lawrenceville, where he taught Sunday School for 65 years. He served his country as a Navy veteran in WWII.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife; two brothers, Ralph Heath and Gail Heath; and three sisters, Frances James, Shirley Smith, and Fay Hawkins.

Survivors include one son, Brad Lee Heath and wife, Missy, of Lawrenceville, Illinois; one daughter, Teresa (Teri) Lynn Linton and husband, Terry, of Lawrenceville, Illinois; one sister, Kay Whittaker of Caldwell, Idaho; four grandchildren, Shannon Baldwin and husband, Hite, of Keller, Texas, Amber Brown and husband, Matt, of Robinson, Illinois, Logan Heath and wife, Marsha, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, and Dalton Heath and wife, Hilary, of Crystal River, Florida; eight great-grandchildren, Jack Baldwin, Case Baldwin, Isabelle Brown, Thomas Brown, Declan Heath, Lorelai Heath, Hadley Heath, and Cole Heath; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, June 22, 2018 at 11:00 AM CST at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM CST at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Pollard Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Glen’s memory may be made to the Lawrenceville Senior Citizens or the Central Christian Church.
