Kris Bryant ended a 24 game homerless drought with a two run shot in the top of the third and drove in four runs to propel the Chicago Cubs to a 13-5 rout of the St Louis Cardinals in game one of their three game series Friday night at Busch Stadium. The homer by Bryant was his first since May 14th. Ian Happ also went deep and Kyle Schwarber blasted a mammoth 465 foot drive to straightaway center field to back the solid pitching of Cub starter Jon Lester. He allowed two runs in six innings to improve to 8-2 and pick up his fourth straight win. Cardinal starter Michael Wacha was ineffective against the Cubs  getting knocked out early. Anthony Rizzo also added three hits to the Cub offense. It was the Cubs first win of the season in four games in St Louis. Game two is under the lights Saturday at Busch with Kyle Hendricks going for the Cubs at 4-6 and Carlos Martinez pitching for the Cardinals at 3-3. You can hear the game on Lite 103 WAKO beginning with the pregame at 6:40 Central Time 7:40 Eastern.
