Good Samaritan Hospital will present its women’s health fair later this month. The Women’s Wellness Expo, previously called Spring Screenings, will take place on June 19th from 4 to 7 p.m. eastern at Highland Woods Community Center in Vincennes. Free health screenings and health information will be offered, along with fitness demonstrations by Elements Yoga and Wellness Studio and the Vincennes YMCA, and shopping opportunities with different vendors of interest to women. There is no appointment necessary to attend the Women’s Wellness Expo. The free health screenings include bone density, blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol (LDL and HDL), colorectal take-home kits, glomerular filtration rate (kidney function) and more. Fasting for 10 to 12 hours before these screenings is recommended, but not required. Women of all ages are encouraged to attend this year’s Women’s Wellness Expo on June 19th.
