Nick Williams homered and drove in three runs to back the solid pitching of Zach Eflin and lead the Philadelphia Phillies to a 6-1 win over the Chicago Cubs in the opener of a three game series at Wrigley Field Tuesday night. The win snapped a three game Phillies losing skid and ended the Cubs four game winning streak. Anthony Rizzo had two hits and drove in the lone Cub run. Kyle Hendricks took the loss for the Cubs falling to 4 and 5 on the season. The two teams meet again Wednesday under the lights with Jose Quintana (6-4) going for the Cubs and Aaron Nola (7-2) pitching for Philly. The contest can be heard on Lite 103 WAKO beginning with the pregame show at 6:30 p.m. Central Time 7:30 Eastern.
