PIRATES EDGE CUBS IN SERIES FINALE

The Pittsburgh Pirates snapped a four game losing streak Wednesday night as they beat the Chicago Cubs 2-1 in the final game of their three game series at PNC Park. The Cubs scored first but Josh Harrison of the Pirates tied the game with a homer in the bottom of the first and Gregory Polanco  hit a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the second to drive in what proved to be the winning run. The Cubs had chances to add to their one run total but were kept at bay by Pirate starter Joe Musgrove. Kyle Hendricks took the loss for the Cubs. The Cubs are in New York to open up a four game series with the Mets at Citi-Field. Jose Quintana (5-4) will pitch for the Cubs and Seth Lugo (1-1) will go for the Mets.
