Lisa Lee Hobbs, 53, of rural Flat Rock, Illinois passed away Monday, May 28, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. She was born October 27, 1964 in Robinson, Illinois, the daughter of Jack Hobbs and Darlene S. (Pinkstaff) Hobbs.

Lisa was a 1982 Lawrenceville High School graduate and a 1984 Lincoln Trail College graduate. She was a manager at Hardee’s for 15 years. She had a love for drafting that her high school teacher, Woodrow Wesley, instilled in her at a young age. She also loved crocheting, camping, cross stitching, scrap booking, and being a member of the Flat Rock First Missionary Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death was her mother, Darlene and grandparents, Odin and Laura Pinkstaff, Jean and Gene Bline, and Joe Hobbs.

Survivors include her father, Jack; one sister, Lori White and husband, Chris, of Robinson, Illinois; one niece that she referred to as ‘her girl’, Megan Coulter and husband, Adam, of Austin, Texas; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; a special great uncle, Dr. Glenn Martin and wife, Carol; her beloved church family; and DaVita Dialysis family.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Dr. Rotman, Dr. Lao, Deanna Fields, NP, all of the DaVita family, Good Samaritan Hospital, and the Lawrence County Ambulance Service for seven years of excellent care. May God bless you for all that you do.

Funeral services will be Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 11:00 AM CST at the Flat Rock First Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the church. Burial will be in the Jones Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Lisa’s memory may be made to the Flat Rock First Missionary Baptist Church or the Palestine Food Pantry. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements.
