CUBS BEAT REDS IN SERIES OPENER AT CINCY

Jon Lester pitched six solid innings and Addison Russell had a career high four hits as the Chicago Cubs scored three runs in the first inning enroute to a 8-1 victory over the Cincinnati Reds in game 1 of their four game series at Great American Ballpark Friday night. Willson Conteras added 3 hits in the win. The game was delayed by rain at the outset for just over an hour and a half.
