LADY INDIAN SOFTBALL SEASON ENDED WITH REGIONAL LOSS

The season came to an abrupt end Tuesday for the Lawrenceville Lady Softball Indians. They lost in the second semifinal of their Class 2A regional tournament to Robinson 4-3. The squad fell behind early to the Lady Maroons but battled back to cut the deficit to 1 in the late innings but could not get over the hump. The Lady Indians finish the season at 16-13. Robinson will move on to the championship game Saturday at 11 a.m. at Phil Alsman Field. They will face top seeded Flora. The Lady Wolfgals beat Carlyle 7-5 in the first semifinal.
