CUBS ROUT WHITE SOX BEHIND CONTERAS

Catcher Willson Conteras hit two homers, one a grand slam, and drove in a career high seven runs as the Chicago Cubs pounded the White Sox 11-2 in game one of the Crosstown Series at Wrigley Field Friday. Conteras becomes the first Cub with 7 extra-base hits in two games since 1913. The win was the fourth in a row for the Cubs. Tyler Chatwood started and pitched effectively to pick up the win. Game two is Saturday afternoon with James Shields (1-3) going for the White Sox and Jon Lester (2-1) pitching for the Cubs.
