Cale Powell’s two out RBI single in the bottom of the 7th inning Thursday night at Unit 20 Ballpark gave the Lawrenceville Baseball Indians a 2-1 win over the Red Hill Salukis on Senior Night. The hit scored Ethan Kelly who had doubled with 1 out and advanced to third on a groundout. The Tribe notched their 2 runs on 8 hits with 2 errors while the Salukis were held to 1 run on only 3 hits with 2 errors. Keegan Meek outdueled Josh Phelums in the low scoring affair as both went the distance in the game. Meek and Corey Carrell each had 2 hits. The game was suspended for about 45 minutes in the top of the 6th by lightning. The county rivals split their two meetings during the season and each will see action in regional play next week.
