Fire destroyed a Lawrenceville structure Friday morning. Units of the Lawrence-Allison Fire Protection, Bridgeport Fire Protection District and Vincennes Township Fire Department were called out to 2008 George Street where they found the structure owned by Byron Brumfiel ablaze. There were no injuries reported. The fire did an estimated $80,000 worth of damage to the residence. It also did an estimated $5,000 worth of damage to the nearby 2004 George Street residence owned by Danette Smith. The cause of the fire is believed to be electrical in nature.
