HENDRICKS LEADS CUBS TO WIN OVER BREWERS

Kyle Hendricks outpitched Chase Anderson with seven strong innings and combined with two relievers on a six hit shutout as the Chicago Cubs blanked the Milwaukee Brewers 1-0 Thursday night in game one of their four game series at Wrigley Field. Hendricks improved to 2-1 allowing four hits, striking out five, and walking none in his best outing of the young season. The only run of the contest came in the bottom of the sixth as Kyle Schwarber homered to right field with one out off Anderson who falls to 2-2. Carl Edwards Jr. pitched the eighth and Brandon Morrow the ninth to complete the win. Kris Bryant missed his third straight game after being hit in the head by a pitch last Sunday.
