CUBS WIN INTERLEAGUE SERIES OPENER AT CLEVELAND

Kyle Schwarber hit two of the Cubs four solo home runs in a 10-3 win in interleague play over the Cleveland Indians Tuesday night at Progressive Field in Cleveland. It was the first meeting between the two teams since the 2016 World Series won by the Cubs. Tyler Chatwood picked up his first win as a Cub allowing one run in six-plus innings. Kris Bryant did not play in the game two days after being hit in the head by a pitch in Colorado. The Cubs go for a sweep of the brief two game set Wednesday.
