A Knox County man accused of murder was in court Friday to change his plea. 27 year-old Christopher Schatz, Junior is charged with murder in the death of John “Doug” Lowe in his Decker apartment on May third of last year. Schatz changed his plea to guilty. The agreement calls for a sixty-year sentence, with 15 years suspended to supervised probation. Schatz would also receive credit for time served. The agreement also calls for Schatz to testify, if needed, in the trial against co-defendant Jeremy Schatz. Christopher Schatz’s sentencing is set for May.
