The Lawrenceville Lady Indians beat the Red Hill Lady Salukis 5-4 Thursday in a Lawrence County softball battle at Leigh Ann Westall Field in Bridgeport. The Lady Indians scored 5 runs on 7 hits and committed 3 errors while the Lady Salukis score their 4 runs on 5 hits and also made 3 errors. Emily Moore and Jayley Akers each had 2 hits for the Lady Indians and Allie Johnson and Sara Joines had 2 hits apiece for the Lady Salukis. Abby Gartner picked up the pitching win for Lawrenceville while Caitlyn Bowersock absorbed the loss for Red Hill. With the win, the Lady Indians are now 5-3 with a three game winning streak. The Lady Salukis fall to 4-5 and had a two game winning streak snapped. The Lady Indians also sweep the regular season series between the two.
