LADY SOFTBALL INDIANS WIN TWO IN ROW

The Lawrenceville Lady Softball Indians picked up their second win in a row beating South Knox 8-2 at Phil Alsman Field in Lawrenceville Wednesday.  They scored their 8 runs on 5 hits and made 1 error while South Knox was held to 2 runs on 6 hits with no errors. Jayley Akers had 2 of the 5 Lady Indian hits and drove in 3 of the 8 runs. Melody Lockhart pitched all 7 innings for the win striking out 7 and walking 2. With the win the Lady Indians are 4-3 and will be in Bridgeport Thursday to face the Red Hill Lady Salukis at 4:30.
