A Vincennes man wanted in Lawrence County was arrested for drug possession Monday night. Vincennes Police were called to the 1400 block of Broadway Street. Police located 32 year-old Michael Murphy, who was wanted on two warrants out of Lawrence County. Murphy tried to escape police, but was captured a short time later. Murphy was also found to be in possession of a controlled substance. Murphy was taken to the Knox County Jail, awaiting transfer to Illinois.
