The Lawrenceville Lady Softball Indians scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to come from behind and beat the Red Hill Lady Salukis 4-3 in a Lawrence County battle at Phil Alsman Field. The Lady Indians scored their four runs on eight hits while the Lady Salukis scored their three runs on seven hits. Abby Gartner picked up the win for the Lady Indians while Caitlin Bowersock took the loss for the Lady Salukis. Emily Moore and Gartner each had two hits for the Lady Indians in the home opener. Sara Joines and Grace Vandiver each had two hits for the Lady Salukis. With the win the Lady Indians improve to 1-1 while the Lady Salukis fall to 2-1. The Lady Indians are scheduled to host Sullivan Indiana Friday.
