Lawrence County State’s Attorney Michael Strange announced that two people were sentenced in Lawrence County Circuit Court this week. 37 year-old Darrell Vennard of Lawrenceville was sentenced to three years in the Illinois Department of Corrections on a charge of unlawful possession of methamphetamine. That will be followed by one year of parole. Vennard is also required to pay a drug assessment fee as well as court costs.
26 year-old Christopher Tolley of Vincennes was sentenced to two-and-a-half years in the Illinois Department of Corrections on a charge of unlawful possession of weapons by a felon. That will be followed by one year of parole. Tolley is also required to pay court costs.
