SALUKIS BOW OUT OF REGIONAL

The Red Hill Saluki basketball season ended Tuesday night with a semifinal loss 56-43 to the Mt Carmel Golden Aces in the Class 2A Lawrenceville regional tournament. The Salukis slowed the game down in an attempt to stay close to the favored Golden Aces. They led 14-11 after one quarter, trailed 23-21 at the half, and trailed 32-28 after three quarters before Mt Carmel put the defensive pressure on in the final quarter and spurted out to a double digit lead. They cemented the game with free throws down the stretch. The Salukis were paced by Corbin Shoulders with 14 points and Chase Murray added 10. Red Hill finishes the season at 13-15. Mt Carmel improves to 17-11 and will face Harrisburg in the championship game Friday night at 7 p.m. Harrisburg rallied from 14 points down in the second half and beat Robinson in the second semifinal 72-60 to raise their record to 23-7.
