Landon Florkowski has announced he will continue his athletic and academic career at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. The All-State running back and linebacker was an integral part of the Red Hill Saluki football success this past season as one of the senior leaders on the team which won the Little Illini Conference championship, went through an unbeaten regular season, and made it to the Class-A quarterfinals before losing at home to Athens. He also was outstanding in the classroom as well being named as an Illinois State Scholar. The 6 foot 1 inch 190 Florkowski made the announcement via Twitter. He will also be a participant in the Illinois Football Coaches Association annual Shrine game.
