Both Lawrence County girls basketball teams were knocked out of postseason play at the Class 2A Mt Carmel Regional Monday night. The Lawrenceville Lady Indians were ousted by the Fairfield Lady Mules in the first round 51-34. They wind up the season with a 10-18 record. In game two it was the Edwards County Lady Lions beating the Red Hill Lady Salukis 71-33. Their record to end the season is 3-17. Both winners now move on to semi-final play Tuesday-Fairfield plays host Mt Carmel at 6p.m. and Edwards County meets Flora at 7:30p.m. Those winners play Thursday at 7p.m. for the championship.
