INDIANS POUNDED BY OLNEY IN FIFTH STRAIGHT LOSS

For the third time in less than a week, the Lawrenceville basketball Indians were manhandled by an opponent. The Tribe were blasted Friday night by the Olney Tigers at Ron Herrin Gym in Olney 64-41. The host Tigers jumped on the Indians early and led 25-9 after the first quarter and 40-15 at the half and the contest was never in doubt. Leading the way for Olney freshman guard Braden Flanagan with 29 points which included 7 three point field goals. The Indians were led by Cale Powell off the bench with 13 points while Zeus Marsh added 10. The Indian JV did win 50-42 with Powell getting 17 and Skyler Tewell 14. The Indians fall to 4-17 overall with their fifth straight defeat and are 1-5 in conference play. The squad will be in Bridgeport Tuesday to face the Salukis on Pack the Place night.
