INDIANS ADVANCE IN LIC TOURNAMENT

The Lawrenceville basketball Indians got back on the winning track Friday night with a win over Paris in an opening round game of the Little Illini conference boys tournament at Red Hill. The Tribe were victors 65-50 over the Tigers. They led all the way-15-9 after one quarter, 28-18 at the half, and 54-36 after three quarters. Zeus Marsh led the scoring parade with 15 points, Christian Beamon added 14 off the bench, and Jordan Jones had 11. Zach Burger of Paris led all scorers with 18 points. With the win, the Indians improve to 4-12 while Paris falls to 6-10. The win advances the Indians to the championship quarterfinals Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. against top seeded Casey.
