A single-vehicle accident occurred in eastern Lawrence County early Christmas Eve morning. Tricia Ann Taylor of Lawrenceville was driving west on US 50 just west of Illinois Route 33 at around 2 a.m. when she lost control of her vehicle. The vehicle ran into a bridge guardrail before coming to rest in the right lane. Taylor was not injured. Her 1991 Buick had to be towed from the scene.
