Karen Sue Pine, 66 passed away at 10:45 am on December 21, 2017 at Daviess Community Hospital. Karen was born on December 12, 1951 in Paris, IL the daughter of Charles K. and Catherine (Kennedy) Phillips.
Karen was a member of the First Christian Church. She was a registered surgical nurse for St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis, IN for several years. Karen was also involved with Doctors Without Border’s traveling to India doing numerous surgeries.
Survivors include her brother, Ken Phillips and his wife Becky of Vincennes; niece, Jennifer Meadows and her husband Tony of Vincennes, nephew, Jason Phillips and his wife Angie of Vincennes; great nieces and nephews, Mattye and Camdyn Meadows, and Gracie and Brody Phillips. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Brenda Kay Phillips.
Funeral services for Karen will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Maxwell officiating. Burial will follow in Forsythe Cemetery in Marshall, IL.
