Farrell Ray Paddick, age 87, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Friday, November 24, 2017 at his residence. He was born January 28, 1930 in Bridgeport, Illinois, the son of James Fred and Mary Alice (Blair) Paddick. He married Alice Stallard on March 20, 1954 and she survives.

Farrell worked at the Illinois Gas Company for 41 years. He was a member of Central Christian Church and an Army veteran, serving his country from 1948 until 1952. Farrell enjoyed fishing, hunting, and was an avid reader.

Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Russell Paddick and Lowell Paddick; and three sisters, Allene Dennison, Audrey Pettigrew, and Dorothy Whipkey.

Survivors include his wife, Alice; one son, Steve Paddick and wife, Kelly, of rural Lawrenceville, Illinois; two daughters, Loretta Young and husband, Mark, of Lawrenceville, Illinois and Tamara Mos and husband, Jan, of Linton, Indiana; two sisters, Jean Rankin of Bridgeport, Illinois and Vondola Calvert of Bridgeport, Illinois; six grandchildren, Ryan Young, Cameron Young, Quentin Young (Michelle), Matt Paddick (Jodie), Jared Paddick, Stevi Holscher (Ross), Matthew Paddick, Katie Paddick, Kaylynn Neely, Anna Paddick, Greyson Holscher, Miles Holscher, Nolan Holscher, Liam Young, Isabella Young and two great-grandchildren, Kynzleigh Neely and Kayleigh Neely.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. CST at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. CST at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Lawrence County Humane Society or Central Christian Church.

Graveside military rites will be conducted by the VFW.
