Joyce Marilyn Wilson, age 83 of Lawrenceville, passed away Friday, November 17, 2017 in Lawrenceville at the United Methodist Village-North Campus. She was born July 16, 1934 in Petty Township to Frank and Mary (Horback) Ferguson.
Cloyd E. Wilson married Joyce on April 12, 1952. Cloyd preceded Joyce in death.
Joyce was a homemaker who dedicated her life to her husband, children, family, and Christ. As a military wife (Air Force), she traveled the world with her husband and children.
Surviving family includes: two sons- Cloyd “Will” Wilson and wife Cheryl of Lawrenceville and James “Jim” Wilson and wife Donna of Sumner: two sisters- Faye Childress and Francis Ritchie: one brother- Dick Ferguson: ten grandchildren- Amber, Jody, Leslie, Wesley, Dusty, Austin, Heather, Chris, Brady, and Cody: and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her husband- Cloyd E. Wilson: her parents- Frank and Mary Ferguson: three daughters- Victoria Jo, Mary Jane, and Marilyn Wilson: seven siblings- William, James, Robert, Loren, Mary, Roberta, and Rosella.
A graveside service will be held for Joyce Marilyn Wilson at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Petty Cemetery (north of Sumner). A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Cunningham-Young Funeral Home in Lawreneville.
