The Lawrenceville Lady basketball Indians used a strong run at the beginning of the third quarter Thursday night to win over the Red Hill Lady Salukis 61-34 in Bridgeport. The Lady Indians led 29-21 at the half, but extended the lead to 46-28 after three quarters to pick up their first win of the season. Charleigh Ferrell had 17 points and Jayley Akers added 16 for the Lady Indians in the win. Madison Hobbs had 12 for the Lady Salukis. With the win, the Lady Indians improve to 1-1 while the Lady Sakukis fall to 0-2. The Lady Indians play in the Hamilton County Lady Foxes tournament in McLeansboro starting Monday and the Lady Salukis host Martinsville Tuesday.
