A meeting was held Tuesday morning at the Lawrence County Courthouse to hear the minutes of a public hearing that was previously held regarding a Community Development Block Grant for the Petrolia Water District. The Greater Wabash Regional Planning Commission is seeking $392,000 through a Public Facilities Construction Grant. The money would be used to replace water lines for the Petrolia District. It’s expected 21 households would benefit from the bigger water lines. The Lawrence County Board is expected to pass a resolution of support for the grant at a planned special session.
