James Robert Junkin, 86, of Vincennes, passed away November 8, 2017, at the Lodge of the Wabash.

Bob was a farmer and a member of the First Christian Church. He was a volunteer fireman for the Palmyra Township Fire Department. Bob enjoyed riding his Harley, and was a certified scuba diver. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War.

Born December 28, 1930, in Kentucky, he was the son of Jacob James and Helen (White) Junkin. His parents; his brother, Lester Junkin; his sister, Helen Faye Marchino; his brother-in-law, Tom Marchino; and his sister-in-law Jackie Junkin, preceded.

Surviving is his wife, Zola (Painter) Junkin, whom he married May 3, 1952; his daughter, Terri Utt and her husband, Jerry, of Vincennes; his brother, Ron Junkin; his sister-in-law, Faye Junkin, of Fritchton, IN; his grandchildren, JR Utt and his wife, Kim, of Vincennes, Lori Brown and her husband, Dave, of Vincennes, Sara Abel and her husband, Shane, of Vincennes, and Toni Nero and her husband, Bobby, of Carlisle, IN; and his great-grandchildren, Kenadie Utt, Kendall Utt, Levi Brown, Tyler Brown, Ethan Abel, Kenzie Abel, and a great-grandchild on the way from J R and Kim.

A graveside service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery on Saturday, at 2:00. Goodwin Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.
