-The Lawrence County Board met yesterday afternoon. The County Board approved the fiscal year 2018 tenative budget and tax levy. They will be posted at the Lawrence County Courthouse for the public to view. The board also approved a resolution for an increase to the county’s animal control pickup fee.
-The Lawrenceville Unit 20 School Board met last night. The School Board received and approved the District audit report.
-The Board of Trustees of Illinois Eastern Community College District No. 529 met this week at Lincoln Trail College in Robinson and certified the district’s tentative tax levies for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2017 and ending June 30, 2018. The Board approved a Resolution Declaring the Intent of the District to certify the District’s estimated tax levy for the year. The resolution establishes the levy for the education fund and the operations and maintenance fund. The 2017 estimated tax levy resolution is for taxes due and collectible in 2018. There will be a public hearing on the Tax Levy on November 21st at 7 pm at Olney Central College, and the Board will hear verbal comments or written testimony.The operating levies for the District remained the same.
