A trial date will be chosen by year’s end for an Olney man charged with murder. Glenn Ramey was recently found fit to stand trial on charges of first degree murder and predatory criminal sexual assault. He is charged in the death of an eight-year-old Olney girl last Thanksgiving Eve. During a hearing Friday, a final pre-trial conference in the case was set for October 20th. A trial date is expected be set during that pre-trial conference. Due to speedy trial guidelines, a jury trial for Ramey must be scheduled for no later than the December jury trial week. It was shared on Friday that prosecutors have not received information from State Police requested by Ramey’s attorney.
