Republican candidate Jeremy Yost of Charleston has decided to end his campaign bid to become the state representative for the 110th District of Illinois. Yost is the subject of a petition for an order of protection filed yesterday in Coles County Circuit Court. Yost has not commented on the order of protection but did write on his Facebook page that family is a priority to him and that he has been faced with a “heavy choice” and must be with his family during the present time.  The 110th District seat is currently held by State Representative Reggie Phillips, a Republican from Charleston who co-owns Unique Homes property development. Phillips has yet to announce whether or not he will seek a third term in office.
