Michael Jason Patrick, age 75 of Sumner, passed away Monday, September 18, 2017 in Vincennes, IN at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born in Lawrenceville on January 12, 1942 to James William Patrick and his wife Maudie Mae (O’Brien) Patrick.
Mike married Annette Nelson in 1959, and they enjoyed 58 wonderful years together.
He had worked as a mechanic and had owned his own businesses in California; The Smog Stop, Yamaha of Corona, the Yogurt Stop, and others. He competed in off-road desert racing and achieved the highest level of success. While enjoying his summers in Alaska, he dredged for gold.
Surviving family includes: his wife- Annette Patrick of rural Sumner: two daughters- Wendy Coyne and husband Rick of Wildomar, CA and Nichole Cornes and husband Michael of Lawrenceville: five grandchildren- Corey and Ashley Coyne, Jack Preston, Caleb Cornes, and Amber Patrick: one sister- Frances Williams of Mulberry, AR: and one brother- Gail Patrick of Lawrenceville.
He was preceded in death by his: parents- William and Maudie Mae Patrick: son- Donald Earl Patrick: and two brothers- William “Bill” Patrick and Donald Patrick.
