An Arkansas man was killed in a motorcycle accident that occurred two miles north of Neoga, Illinois just before noon yesterday. A 2005 Harley-Davidson three-wheeled motorcycle driven by 60 year-old Gilbert Andrew Tarpley of Williford, Arkansas, was southbound on U.S. 45 just north of Cumberland County Road 1200 North when he ran off the roadway to the right just before a residential driveway. The front of the motorcycle struck the inclined embankment of the driveway’s culvert and became airborne. The motorcycle then struck the ground and overturned, ejecting the driver. Tarpley was transported to Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, where he was pronounced dead at 1:06 p.m.
