Illinois State Police District 12 Commander Cory Ristvedt announced activity and enforcement figures for the month of July. Troopers in District 12, which includes Lawrence, Crawford and Richland Counties, answered 222 calls for service and initiated 1,254 incident sin the field. Enforcement figures totaled 561 citations and 610 written warnings, including 293 speeding citations, 6 DUI’s, 41 seat belt citations, one child restraint citation, 194 written warnings for speeding and 35 criminal arrests. Troopers also assisted 234 motorists, conducted 247 motor carrier inspections, and investigated 79 traffic crashes. There were four fatal traffic crashes investigated by District 12 in July.
