The Lawrence County Longbeards Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation is hosting its 17th annual Women In The Outdoors event. This event will be held Saturday August 19th at Red Hills State Park in Sumner at the Lakeside Shelter on the south side of the park. This program is designed to offer women ages 14 and over the opportunity to gain valuable in-the-field skills in an environment that encourages fun and success in the outdoors. This exciting program will target women who want to learn outdoor skills through inexpensive courses addressing such topics such as dutch oven cooking, flower gardening, outdoor photography, nature crafting, canoeing, archery, shooting sports, crocheting and much much more!!
Lunch will be provided day of the event. Early Bird Registration fee is $35, while registration the day of the event is $40. Anyone wanting more information can call Michelle Waller at 812-881-5389.
